Idaho’s second-largest city, Meridian has shown up in the US Census Bureau’s most recent population estimates. This time it looks like the Boise-metro city has added 6.1% more people over the course of 2018.

Meridian’s growth has bumped it up into the 5th fastest-growing U.S. city in its size class (cities with 50k+ residents) according to the census report. Only Utah was able to add a higher percentage of new housing units. Meridian’s home/condo/apartment growth increased by 1.9% vs the national average that rests around 0.8%.
