Hurricane Harvey swept across the Houston and coastal areas of Texas and brought with it high winds and an unprecedented 50″ of rain. Many have been affected and our hearts and hands go out to help those in need.
The investors who work directly with FIG have had concerns about the impact of the storm on our developments. Our Mills Road Development is nearing completion and the on-site retention and drainage system held up exactly as expected… buildings are dry and the site clearing out.
Our new project The Village at Parkway Lakes on Gosling Road also held up incredibly well. This site is the area bound by FM 2920, Gosling Road, and Kuykendahl Road. Jon Metcalf drove around the site on Tuesday and there wasn’t any flooding.
The two drainage easements were already empty and there was very little water in the roadside drainage areas. Many businesses along FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road were open. There is a large HEB development currently under construction across the street on Gosling Road. Their site drainage looked very good.
