Watch a Video of the Ground Breaking Here: Tyson Foods – KSL
In May we caught word of a new food plant coming to Eagle Mountain from none other than Tyson Foods out of South Dakota.
Now it’s November, and the giant food chain has officially broken ground on their $300M plant here in Utah County. In the packaging facility, “Large cuts of beef and pork will come to the Eagle Mountain site from the Midwest to be processed into retail packages that will go to stores across the western United States.” – KSL
While the project will start with around 800 jobs, it is expected that the number will raise up closer to 1,200 positions, making it the largest employer in the eagle mountain-saratoga springs area.
The 800-acre plant is only a small portion of the 50 sq miles that makes up Eagle Mountain. We expect this will be a significant turning point in the bright future for eagle mountain; opening the door for additional industrial development.
“We were looking for a good location to get product to the west coast and this is a great location in regards to getting trucks in with the raw material we need and finished products out to our customers. (It’s a) great growing area with people and we’ve really enjoyed the community,” – Sr. VP of Tyson Foods
Where’s Eagle Mountain?
Eagle Mountain, UT is located on the northwest side of Utah County, one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. With the tech explosion in northern and central Utah County, growth is pushing west into this area, and companies like Facebook are taking note.
Dublin Farms is located only a few blocks off of Pony Express Parkway, which allows residents quick access to the amenities of Saratoga Springs, and access to Northern Utah County via the new Pioneer Crossing Highway.
